For tune ups it could take 24 hours in busy season.
We understand it can be difficult to service a bike when you might have a strict schedule, We do offer Pickup and Deliver services making it easier for your schedule.

What if it just needs a quick adjustment?

If you can ride it in, we are happy to make adjustments while you wait.
If a service call is needed, let us know and we will make arrangements for onsite fixes or pickup if it needs more detailed attention.

Do we charge more because we are on an island?

No, we get to serve the needs of those who like to bike and see this as a privilege we never take for granted. We have to follow specific guidelines and requirements to sell many of the items you will find in our store and have adopted Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) policies to continue being able to provide quality bikes and products with your support.

Can you get a discount?

We offer a discount on parts and accessories to members of the Sanibel Bike Club.

We are an independent bike shop and not a mass merchant. You might be surprised to learn that bicycles are not completely assembled at the factory. They are actually delivered to us disassembled and in a box and we spend time assembling, tuning and testing every bike (at no additional charge to you). This is required by the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission and we pride ourselves in meeting the highest standards.

Why is my bike rusting?

There are many contributing factors for bikes rusting or corroding.
The first thing to keep in mind is that the air on a barrier island contains salt at all times.
Other things to keep in mind are, where you ride and where you store your bike.

What is the best way to store my bike?

Good: Protected from wildlife and the elements like direct sunshine and rain.

Better: In a non-climate controlled storage.

Best: In a climate controlled environment.

Why shouldn’t I ride on the beach?

Beach riding is not permitted on E-Bikes and is highly discouraged on two or three wheels. It brings abrasive and corrosive debris into moving parts, it can also cause punctured tires.

Beach Riding can not only damage your bicycle but cause major damage to the fragile eco system of our barrier islands.
Wildlife, vegetation and populated beach accesses, should all earn some respect. We can talk for days regarding sea turtles, snowy plovers, wildlife and native vegetation.Sanibel has so many miles of shared use path, trails and roadway for exploring.
